Above is a useful flowcharts, which I can take into considerations when coming up with the concept of my product.

An example of existing products,  tying into music, can be seen below.

The above images show some of Kate Bush's official merchandise, found on the shop section of her website. In the case of the examples, the merchandise are cards and apparel.

'Merchandise' is the term widely used by many artists as a way to promote such things as their music, as well as their name.
It can consist of such items as apparel, mugs, limited edition prints, jewellery, books, cards, toys, as well as autographs.
It is a big market for illustrators, as people in the artistic field are usually tasked with designing such items for sale.

Below I will display a few examples of products form each category featured on my brief.

Apparel:

Various types apparel featuring an assortment of different bands, spanning multiple genres and styles.

Greetings Card:

Cards are a big market, like the other markets on my list.
It is not surprising to see bands and artists embrace this business.

Stationary:

I have noticed in supermarkets, that most music themed stationary is aimed toward the children's market. It is common to see stationary fall under such music brands as 'Justin Bieber'.

Toys:

This is a booming market in the world of illustration, as artists are very often tasked to come up with concepts of ideas, to be used as a plan/guide.

All products go though a stage of concept and design at some point, so I can say safely, that this effects pretty much every product on the market.
